As a seasoned professional, she finds solutions to workplace challenges by: providing advice and counsel on Employee Relations issues, conducting investigations, designing and delivering manager and employee trainings, and ensuring that her company continues to develop cutting edge workplace policies.
Ms. Valbrune believes in living life with a purpose. Therefore, she seizes upon multiple opportunities to give back to her community and has engaged in a number of philanthropic efforts. This has ranged from her support of the arts, to her work on various projects and committees in her community, to the foundation of a charity (www.livingmeasure.org) aimed at raising capital through fundraisers for other charities of choice. Beneficiaries of her fundraising efforts have included Edeyo, the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, Haitian-American Alliance of New York, The Haiti Project, and others.
Ms. Valbrune’s roots are truly Haitian-American. She was born and raised in little Haiti, also known as East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Growing up, her parents taught her a keen sense of Haitian pride, creole language, Haitian culture and a deep connection to all things Haitian and of the diaspora.
Ms. Valbrune is an alumna of Cornell University’s School of Arts and Sciences and the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she focused her study and coursework on Employment Law. less
